Chronology of Kansong’s Life & Achievements
Jul. 29, 1906
- Born as the second son to Chun Yeonggi, advisor in the Privy Council, and his wife from the Milyang Pak clan. Lived at Jongno 4ga No. 112, Jongno-gu, Seoul. Clan seat: Jeongseon.

- Graduated from Eoidong Public Common School

- Graduated from Whimun High Common School
Mar. 1930
- Graduated from Waseda University in Japan, majoring in Law. Returned to Korea and associated with Oh Sechang. Began collecting Korean cultural artifacts.

- Supported Hannamseorim Bookstore in Gwanhun-dong
1934
- Established Bukdanjang in Seongbuk-dong.Interacted with leading calligraphers, painters and writers.
1938
- Established Bohwagak as a private museum near Bukdanjang.
Mar. 1940
- Expanded Hannamseorim Bookstore
Jun. 1940
- Established Dongseong School Foundation, served as director.
Sept. 1945
- Served as principal of Posung Middle School
Sept. 1946
- Resigned his position as Posung Middle School principal

- Served on two subcommittees in the Cultural Properties Committee
